Moses presented the second ram — the ram of ordination. Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head. Moses slaughtered it, took some of the blood, and put it on the lobe of Aaron's right ear, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.
Then he brought Aaron's sons forward and did the same — blood on the lobes of their right ears, on the thumbs of their right hands, on the big toes of their right feet. Moses threw the remaining blood against the sides of the altar.
He took the fat, the fat tail, all the fat on the internal organs, the long lobe of the liver, the two kidneys with their fat, and the right thigh. From the basket of unleavened bread before the Lord, he took one unleavened loaf, one loaf of bread made with oil, and one wafer, and placed them on the fat portions and the right thigh. He put all of it into the hands of Aaron and his sons, and they waved it as a wave offering before the Lord. Then Moses took it all from their hands and burned it on the altar alongside the burnt offering. This was the ordination offering — a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the Lord. Moses took the breast and waved it as his own portion of the ordination ram, just as the Lord had commanded.
