fresh.bible is a free Bible paraphrase website. Reading needs no account. Signing in is optional, and an account stores only what the Accounts section below describes. We sell nothing. This policy explains the data collection that occurs when you use our site and our apps.
We use analytics services to understand how visitors use the site and apps so we can improve them:
We also track anonymous interaction events such as chapter reads, reading time, scroll depth, content sharing, and navigation patterns. These events contain no personal information and are used solely to improve the reading experience.
Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to identify unique visitors across sessions. These cookies contain no personal information. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Signing in is optional; the Accounts section below covers what an account stores. If you subscribe to email updates, we store your email address, the page you signed up from, and any reading plan enrollments. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. We do not share your email address with third parties.
You can read everything without an account. If you choose to sign in, you can do it with Google, with Apple, or with an email link on the web; the Android app offers Google and the email link. One account covers fresh.bible, nocap.bible and the apps.
An account stores, on our servers, your email address, a user id, and the reading data you create while signed in: bookmarks, reading progress and history, reading streaks, reading-plan progress and journal entries, reactions, achievements, interests, and any questions you submit through Ask.
The fresh.bible Android app. Signing in is optional; the app works fully without an account. Your highlights, notes, bookmarks, reading plans and reading history are stored on the device, and the app does not upload them today. Cross-device sync is planned for a later release, and this policy will be updated before that version ships. The app downloads Bible text, articles and audio from our servers so it can work offline, which means our servers see the usual request information, including your IP address. If the app crashes or hits an error, a crash report is sent to Sentry, our error-reporting provider; that report contains the error itself plus your device model, operating-system version, app version and your user id. It does not contain your email address or anything you have written in the app. We do not show ads, we do not collect location, and we do not sell or share your information.
You can have your account deleted at any time. Email us and we remove the account and the data listed above within 30 days. How to delete your account explains the steps, exactly what is deleted, and what is kept.

This site and our apps are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child created an account, email us at hello@fresh.bible and we will delete it.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
