King Hezekiah is told he's going to die, prays desperately, and God adds fifteen years to his life.
Isaiah delivers the grim news that Hezekiah's illness is terminal. The king turns his face to the wall and weeps, pleading with God. Before Isaiah even leaves the palace courtyard, God sends him back with a new message: Hezekiah will recover, and God will add fifteen years to his life. As a sign, the shadow on the sundial moves backward ten steps.
