The Road to Emmaus

On the afternoon of the resurrection, two disciples walk to the village of Emmaus, talking about everything that's happened. A stranger joins them and explains how all of Scripture pointed to the Messiah's suffering and glory. At dinner, he breaks bread — and their eyes are opened. It's Jesus. Then he vanishes. They rush back to Jerusalem to tell the others.
