"God with us" — the prophetic name given in Isaiah 7:14, fulfilled in the birth of Jesus (Matthew 1:23)
Isaiah prophesied that a virgin would conceive and bear a son called Immanuel. Matthew applies this directly to Jesus — not just as a name but as a theological statement about who Jesus is. God didn't send a messenger or a representative. God came himself. The name captures the central claim of the Incarnation in a single phrase.
