Soteriology

From the Greek 'soteria' (salvation). Covers questions like whether salvation comes by faith alone, what role works play, whether you can lose it, and what exactly Jesus' death accomplished. Different Christian traditions emphasize different aspects — justification (Protestant), theosis (Orthodox), or the sacramental system (Catholic) — but all agree salvation comes through Christ.
