Tribal leader of Dan during the wilderness census
Son of Ammishaddai, Ahiezer served as the appointed leader of the tribe of Dan during Israel's wilderness journey after the Exodus. He represented his tribe in the census recorded in Numbers, commanding the largest contingent in the Israelite camp, and brought an offering at the dedication of the tabernacle. He appears in the book of Numbers as one of the twelve tribal leaders chosen by God to assist Moses.
