The Jebusite whose threshing floor became the site of Solomon's Temple
A Jebusite who owned the threshing floor on Mount Moriah that David purchased to build an altar after a devastating plague struck Israel (2 Samuel 24, 1 Chronicles 21). Araunah offered to give David the site for free, but David insisted on paying full price — saying he wouldn't offer God something that cost him nothing. That threshing floor became the site of Solomon's Temple.
