Son of Seir — a Horite chief in Edom
Ezer was a son of Seir the Horite and one of the original clan chiefs who inhabited the land of Edom before the Israelites arrived. He is listed among the Horite leaders in Genesis 36 and 1 Chronicles 1, and was the father of Bilhan, Zaavan, and Akan. His genealogy preserves a record of the indigenous peoples of Seir who coexisted alongside the descendants of Esau.
