Ishi was a Simeonite leader whose four sons — Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah, and Uzziel — commanded a force of five hundred men to conquer Mount Seir. His family's military campaign against the Amalekites is recorded in the Simeonite genealogy of 1 Chronicles 4.
