Keros was the ancestor of a family of temple servants (Nethinim) who returned to Israel from Babylonian exile under Zerubbabel. His descendants are listed among those who came back to serve in the rebuilt temple, appearing in the genealogies of Ezra 2 and Nehemiah 7.
