The mother of King Amon of Judah and grandmother of King Josiah from the Galilean town of Jotbah
2 Kings 21:19 names Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz of Jotbah as the mother of King Amon of Judah: "Amon was twenty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Meshullemeth, the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah." Through her son Amon she was the grandmother of the great reformer King Josiah, placing her in the royal genealogy at a pivotal hinge of Judah's history — between the long apostate reign of Manasseh and the recovery of the Mosaic covenant under her grandson.
