Obed-edom

Obed-edom receives the Ark into his household when David fears to bring it further — and the Lord's blessing on his entire home during those three months becomes the signal that will eventually draw David back.

Obed-edom's large and capable family — sixty-two men qualified for service — is explicitly attributed to God's blessing, connecting his gatekeeper dynasty back to his earlier role housing the Ark.

Obed-edom is named as the keeper of the Temple treasury that Joash loots — his household had been entrusted with sacred vessels, all of which are now carried away to Samaria as war spoils.
