The foreign queen who came to test Solomon's wisdom — and left completely speechless
A wealthy queen from a distant land (likely modern-day Yemen or Ethiopia) who traveled to Jerusalem to test Solomon's legendary wisdom with hard questions (1 Kings 10:1-13). After seeing his wisdom, his palace, and the worship at the temple, she declared 'the half was not told me' and showered him with gold, spices, and precious stones. Jesus later referenced her as the 'queen of the South' who would rise in judgment against His generation, since she traveled so far for Solomon's wisdom while something greater than Solomon was standing right in front of them (Matthew 12:42).
The Queen of Sheba traveled from afar to test Solomon's wisdom — and left saying the reports hadn't told her the half of it.
