What he did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab from the tribe of Reuben — how the earth literally opened its mouth and swallowed them, their families, their tents, and every living thing that belonged to them, right in front of all Israel.

Your own eyes have seen every great thing the Lord has done."

You are about to cross the Jordan to take possession of the land the Lord your God is giving you. When you possess it and settle in it, be careful to follow every statute and rule I'm setting before you today."
