The most dangerous advice often comes from people who are partially right and absolutely certain about it.
📢 Chapter 4 — The Friend with All the Answers 🗣️
Seven days. That's how long three friends had been sitting with him in the dirt, saying absolutely nothing. Seven days of silence, watching a man who'd lost everything — his children, his wealth, his health — try to hold himself together. Finally, the Temanite opened his mouth. He was probably the oldest of the three. And he probably thought he was helping.
What follows is the first of many speeches from Job's friends. And it sets a pattern that will repeat for the of the book: start with something that sounds like empathy, then pivot hard into a theory about why this is all happening.
