"Give Aaron and his sons these instructions: The burnt offering is to remain on the altar hearth all night long, through the morning, and the altar fire must be kept burning.
The priest is to dress in his linen garments — linen undergarments on his body — and remove the ashes from the burnt offering on the altar, placing them beside it. Then he changes into different clothes and carries the ashes outside the camp to a clean place.
The fire on the altar must be kept burning. It must not go out. Every morning the priest adds wood, arranges the burnt offering on it, and burns the fat of the peace offerings on it.
The fire must be kept burning on the altar continually. It must not go out."
