looked up and saw something extraordinary — a scroll, completely unrolled, flying through the open sky. Not a small document tucked under someone's arm. It was massive. Roughly thirty feet long and fifteen feet wide, soaring over the land like a banner nobody could ignore. The asked him what he saw:

Zechariah answered, "I see a flying scroll — its length is thirty feet and its width is fifteen feet."

The angel told him, "This is the curse that goes out over the face of the whole land. Everyone who steals will be purged according to what's written on one side. Everyone who swears falsely will be purged according to what's written on the other."

Then came the word of the Lord of Hosts: "I will send it out, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of the one who swears falsely by my name. It will remain in that house and consume it — timber and stone, all of it."

The angel answered, "To the land of Shinar — to build a house for it there. When it's ready, they'll set the basket down on its base."
