Nebuchadnezzar conquers Jerusalem and deports King Jehoiachin along with thousands of Israel's best and brightest.
After King Jehoiakim's rebellion, Babylon lays siege to Jerusalem. His son Jehoiachin surrenders after just three months on the throne. Nebuchadnezzar strips the temple of its treasures and carries off the king, the royal family, and ten thousand skilled workers and soldiers into exile.
