What Happened

Zechariah is serving his rotation in the temple when Gabriel appears beside the altar of incense. The angel tells him his wife Elizabeth will bear a son named John, who will turn many hearts back to God. When Zechariah doubts the promise because of their age, Gabriel strikes him mute until the prophecy is fulfilled.
