A powerful Syrian general with leprosy swallows his pride, follows Elisha's instructions to wash in the Jordan seven times, and is completely healed.
Naaman is a decorated military commander, but he has leprosy. A captured Israelite servant girl tells his wife about the prophet Elisha. Naaman shows up expecting a dramatic healing ritual, but Elisha just tells him to wash in the Jordan seven times. Naaman is furious — the rivers back home are nicer — but his servants talk him into it, and he's healed. He leaves declaring there's no God in all the earth except in Israel.
