Naboth's Vineyard

King Ahab wants Naboth's vineyard, but Naboth won't sell his ancestral inheritance. Ahab sulks like a child until Jezebel orchestrates false accusations of blasphemy, getting Naboth stoned to death. Elijah meets Ahab in the stolen vineyard and pronounces God's judgment: Ahab's dynasty will be destroyed and dogs will consume Jezebel. It's one of the clearest pictures of how power corrupts.
