Joshua 15 continues the Negev catalog of Judahs inheritance with a long string of obscure desert-margin settlements — Kabzeel Eder Jagur Kinah Dimonah Adadah Kedesh Hazor Ithnan Ziph Telem Bealoth and many more.
Joshua 15:21-32 records the long catalog of Judah's Negev cities — twenty-nine settlements running along the desert margin between settled Judah and the Edomite-Amalekite wilderness: "And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur, And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah, And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan, And Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth, And Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, and Hezron, which is Hazor, Amam, and Shema, and Moladah, And Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-palet, And Hazar-shual, and Beersheba, and Bizjothjah, Baalah, and Iim, and Azem." A long list preserving the names of the small frontier villages of Iron Age Judah.
