Jerusalem's ancient spring — where Solomon was anointed king
JerusalemHistorically Verified
The spring is still there in Jerusalem. Hezekiah's water tunnel, built around 700 BC, still exists — complete with an ancient Hebrew inscription describing how workers dug from both ends and met in the middle (now in Istanbul).
A natural spring on the eastern slope of the City of David. Solomon was anointed king here at David's command (1 Kings 1:33-40). Hezekiah later tunneled it inside the city walls before the Assyrian siege (2 Chronicles 32:30).
