What Happened

Isaac is old and blind and wants to bless Esau before he dies. Rebekah overhears and coaches Jacob through an elaborate deception — goatskins on his arms, Esau's clothes, a home-cooked meal. Isaac is suspicious but blesses Jacob anyway. When Esau finds out, he's devastated and furious, and Jacob has to flee for his life. The family is shattered.
