After killing an Egyptian who was beating a Hebrew slave, Moses becomes a fugitive and starts a new life as a shepherd in the wilderness.
Moses sees an Egyptian beating a Hebrew worker and kills him, thinking no one noticed. When word gets out, Pharaoh wants him dead, so Moses flees to Midian. There he meets Jethro's daughters at a well, marries Zipporah, and spends forty years as a shepherd — a long way from palace life.
