Paul returns to Jerusalem despite warnings and is seized by an angry mob in the temple.
Friends and prophets along the way beg Paul not to go to Jerusalem, but he's determined. When he visits the temple, some Jews from Asia recognize him and accuse him of bringing Gentiles into the sacred space. A mob drags him out and starts beating him until Roman soldiers intervene. Paul asks permission to speak and tells the crowd his conversion story, but when he mentions God sending him to the Gentiles, they erupt again.
Paul pushes toward Jerusalem despite every warning along the way — friends begging him to stop, a prophet acting out his arrest, and his own team in tears. He arrives, tries to make peace, and walks straight into a mob.
ActsThe Defense Nobody Wanted to HearPaul stands on the barracks steps and tells the angry Jerusalem mob his own story — how he went from hunting Christians to following Christ. They listen right up until he mentions the Gentiles. Then all hell breaks loose, and only his Roman citizenship keeps him alive.
