Joshuas catalog of Zebuluns tribal allotment names twelve cities — Kattath Nahallal Shimron Idalah Bethlehem and others — that filled the tribes Galilee inheritance.
Joshua 19:10-16 catalogs the third tribal lot at Shiloh, which fell to Zebulun: "And the third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families: and the border of their inheritance was unto Sarid... And Kattath, and Nahallal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families." The Bethlehem of Joshua 19:15 is the Galilean Bethlehem — distinct from the famous Judean Bethlehem of David and Jesus. Zebulun's inheritance ran from the Sea of Galilee westward through lower Galilee.
