Ayyah

Ayyah was one of the small Ephraimite settlements in the Chronicler's catalog of the tribe's ancestral territory (1 Chronicles 7:28-29): "Their possessions and habitations were Bethel and the towns thereof, and eastward Naaran, and westward Gezer... Shechem also and the towns thereof, unto Gaza." Ayyah's location is uncertain — it may be the same site as Ai, the ancient Canaanite city destroyed by Joshua, or a separate Ephraimite settlement nearby.
