Where Israel found bitter water after the Red Sea — and God made it sweet
SinaiThe first place the Israelites stopped after crossing the Red Sea, where they found water too bitter to drink (Exodus 15:23-25). The people grumbled against Moses, and God showed him a piece of wood to throw into the water, making it sweet. The name Marah means 'bitter.' God used this moment to test Israel's trust and to establish that He was their healer.
