What Happened

Abraham takes Isaac to Mount Moriah with wood and fire but no lamb. Isaac asks the obvious question, and Abraham says God will provide. At the last possible moment, with the knife raised, an angel stops him and a ram appears caught in a thicket. Abraham names the place 'The Lord Will Provide' — a statement that echoes through the rest of scripture.
