A boundary point between Issachar and Zebulun at the foot of Mount Tabor the same as Chesulloth
GalileeChisloth-tabor ("loins of Tabor") was a boundary marker on the border between Zebulun and Issachar at the foot of Mount Tabor in lower Galilee (Joshua 19:12): "And turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrising unto the border of Chisloth-tabor, and then goeth out to Daberath." The site is the same as Chesulloth named just six verses later (Joshua 19:18) on Issachar's side of the boundary. The town is identified with the modern village of Iksal about 5 km southeast of Nazareth, at the foot of the great isolated mass of Mount Tabor that rises dramatically out of the eastern Jezreel Valley.
