Dimnah

Dimnah was a Levitical city of the tribe of Zebulun allotted to the Merarite line of Levi: "And out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with her suburbs, and Kartah with her suburbs, And Dimnah with her suburbs, Nahalal with her suburbs; four cities" (Joshua 21:34-35). The parallel list in 1 Chronicles 6:77 names "Rimmono" instead — probably a copyist's substitution for the same site. The town lay in lower Galilee between Mount Carmel and the Sea of Galilee, in the corridor commanding the routes from the coastal plain into the inland highlands.
