Cabbon

Cabbon was a Shephelah town in Judah's tribal inheritance, named in Joshua 15:40 in the catalog of sixteen lowland cities: "Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish, And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah." The town appears only in this single boundary list. The exact site is uncertain but lay in the inner Shephelah between the central highlands and the Philistine coastal plain — possibly identified with Khirbet Hebra or Khirbet el-Quba in the foothills southwest of Beth-shemesh.
